What a gift! How much damage do we do when we provide a DISHONEST model, or perhaps that’s a model of dishonesty, for our children? What kind of example is THAT? I much prefer being honest.

You “felt you could protect your children more with candor?” OF COURSE! You actually gave them truth, the facts, and they know they can believe you. Your kids may smoke pot as adults (when they DO try it, they’ll probably like it), or they may not (familiarity breeds contempt), but they will probably stay away from the ones you warn them about, which is more than most parents can claim.

You are doing a wonderful job, both with the issue of marijuana AND as a Mom. Just keep doin’ what yer’ doin’!

See? Marijuana is not a problem, it’s prohibition which is the problem.
