An Open Letter From Denver City Council Candidate Warren Edson to the Medical Marijuana Community

Mr. Edson testifying before Colorado's Board of Health

After years of first fighting in the halls of power to get in the room, then to the witness table it is time we moved into the seat of power.

I am running for Denver City Council and need your organizations support and your personal financial contribution of $1,000, $500 or $250 today atĀ www.EdsonforDenver.com.

The race in the Denver’s 8th Council district poses a unique challenge.

Due to the untimely death of incumbent Councilwoman Carla Madison, all contenders for the seat are running as write-in candidates.

In order to win, I need to communicate my positive vision for job growth and economic prosperity to District 8 voters over the next 14 days before the May 3rd election.

Your generous contribution of $1,000, $500 or $250 atĀ www.EdsonforDenver.com will pay for the door knockers, literature and signs for this accelerated all mail-in ballot campaign.

Ballots have been mailed out by the Clerk and I have begun to communicate with each likely voter but to maintain our effort I need your contribution today.

I have served Denver as a civil right lawyer and advocate for over 15 years.

I am proud to have been in the forefront of the battle to take medical marijuana out of the shadows and create safe regulated access to medicine for sick patients.

I look forward to seeing many of you in Denver this week at the NORML Conference. As part of this week’s events I will be announcing the results of our $20,000 online fundraising challenge at the end of each day.

Warren, Georgia, and Gavin

Please help me reach my goal of $20,000 in on-line contributions this week by going online now and making a contribution of $1,000, $500 or $250 atĀ www.EdsonforDenver.com.

Georgia and I thank you for your support and look forward to continuing are work together in the days, months and years ahead. We have met many challenges together in the past, and together, we will continue to do so in the future.

Sincerely,

Warren Edson
