Pedram Salimpour, MD, MPH
Pedram Salimpour is an Iranian-American physician-scientist, author, professor, entrepreneur and business executive. He is the co-founder of CareNex Health Services (now part of Anthem, Champion Health Enterprises, and Plymouth Health, the latter of which previously owned Alvarado Hospital in San Diego.
Dr. Salimpour attended Boston University School of Medicine, where he graduated as an Alpha Omega Alpha National Research Scholar and was the first ever two-time recipient of the American College of Physicians’ Research Award. He completed his residency at USC Medical Center / Keck School of Medicine and received his Masters of Public Health degree at UCLA, where he served on the Board of Directors for nearly a decade.
