Health care has taken center stage, with a standoff between states and the federal government and budget cutting at every level. One person can help decipher what that means for Arizona: Will Humble, Director of the Arizona Department of Health Services.
Humble joins the Arizona Illustrated studio to outline regulations the department released last week to guide the launch of medical marijuana dispensaries, including rules governing patients, doctors and the facilities themselves. Humble wants to make Arizona’s the best medical marijuana system in the country, and avoid the pitfalls experienced in other states that saw the numbers of recreational users skyrocket. Humble also comments on the state of health services in Arizona and nationally.
