In this course you will learn about how medical marijuana can help those who suffer from pain and help those patients to reduce the amount of traditional prescription, pharmaceutical medications including opioids in managing their pain.
You will learn about pain disorder categories and pain scales. Did you know that intractable pain is a severe, constant pain that is not curable by any known means and causes a bed or house-bound state and early death if not adequately treated, usually with opioids and/or interventional procedures? Medical Marijuana is recognized by many legal states as a viable option to patients who suffer from intractable pain.
Chronic pain, a different category, afflicts more than 40% of the population at any given time and is usually defined as any persistent or intermittent pain that lasts more than 3 months. Medical Marijuana For PTSD Online Course
This was my third CE class and although this is just part one, I think this class has been more helpful than the others combined!
Both the PTSD course and this course made me want to learn more.
Some of the information was redundant…Overall I am satisfied with the course materials.
I liked everything but the video with the girl who was new to cannabis for medical use.
Test is tricky. I like to test my knowledge but some of the questions are not what I deal with in my daily work environment. I like the graphics and the easy to read pages but I do not like the test. Thanks.
I might have missed it somehow but I didn’t recall seeing anything about NNT and NNH in the course content

I noticed 2 questions that i did not see clear answers for in the related material. The choice of “A and B” gets confusing when both are true, but the question is specifically looking for only one. Otherwise well done
The videos play with disruption and distracts from concentration. either stream them better or allow a download to watch uninterrupted.
The material provided did not adequately prepare me for the exam. I felt like the course taught me a good amount. I was interested in all the material.
The exam asked if patient should cease taking opiates when beginning use of cannabis. the course states should ‘begin’ to cease as did the question summary. the discontinuance of opiates, depending on patients dosage and prior usage may have to be tapered off and not an immediate discontinuance due to possibility of withdrawals. the question about buying medications OTC did not specify prescription strength-as all of the listed can be bought OTC. Thanks for listening to my feedback.
