This introductory course is intended to give an overview of the cannabis and CBD laws in Wyoming as well as general information on US federal law. Although full plant cannabis is not yet legal nationwide, CBD products are available to consumers in all 50 states due to the recent legalization of hemp at the federal level. We have provided the information you need to understand CBD and how it is produced, sold, and regulated in Wyoming. What does the Certification Include?
The Wyoming Advanced CBD Certification is an online course that covers a series of 10 modules designed to teach healthcare and industry professionals the fundamental topics of CBD-derived products and includes a specific module on the legal framework of Wyoming marijuana and CBD laws.
In addition to Wyoming-specific CBD regulations, learn about the federal legal framework, the basics of the cannabis plant, the Endocannabinoid System, and how cannabinoid receptors work with our bodies.
This certification also includes video testimonials from scientists and medical experts, downloadable infographics, and additional visuals to support the written content followed by an exam to receive your certificate. Course Description & Syllabus
Does Wyoming have legal cannabis? Kind of! Medical Cannabis is legal in Wyoming. However, only low THC products are permitted allowed for limited and specified ailments. You will see CBD products available with the federal legalization of hemp. With any new product, education is key and we provide the information needed as CBD products continue to appear on shelves throughout Wyoming. Although there are no state mandated certifications required in Wyoming, Medical Marijuana 411 has developed a Wyoming specific certification which includes key information about the Wyoming legal framework. Wyoming Low THC Law
Qualified patients authorized by a neurologist may possess unspecified amounts of “hemp extracts,” which are defined as preparations of cannabis plant material containing less than 0.3 percent THC and more than 15 percent cannabidiol. Patients must also possess a “hemp extract identification card” issued by the state Department of Health in order to legally possess high-CBD extract products.
