Afghani

Definition: An ancient cannabis cultivar named for its origin in the Hindu Kush mountains. Believed to be the forebearer of the cultivar indica, the term widely misused in pop culture to mean a species different from cannabis Sativa L. Afghani lacks entirely any floral or fruit aroma typical of modern cultivars, including cultivars using the Kush moniker. Local afghani cannabis is closer to hashish than a typical raw flower product, with very distinctive earthy and wood aromas. Used to make rare, black hash.
