Cannabis concentrate

Definition: A type of cannabis product produced either through chemical extraction or mechanical separation, typically to produce high THC concentrations, although today CBD concentrates are growing in popularity. Concentrates called extractions, such as hash oil, budder, shatter and wax, are made with solvents, heat or high-pressure to accumulate the trichomes, often with THC concentrations upwards or 80%. Concentrates made without high-heat or pressure using mechanical separation, including hash, kief and rosin, typically have THC concentrations of up to 60%, and are sometimes more popular than extracts due to easier and safer production without the need for solvents.
