Cannabis sativa

Definition: One of three subspecies of cannabis Sativa L. In popular culture, said to have long stems, narrow leaves and energizing psychoactive effect. Molecular level analysis has shown indica, sativa and ruderalis as all cannabis Sativa L not separate. Today, there are some 2000 cultivars; everything is a hybrid particularly post 1970 as cross breading and genetic seed development has evolved.
