CB1 receptor
Definition: A class of cell membrane receptor and a vitally important protein in the endogenous cannabinoid system. Part of the G protein-coupled receptor superfamily found primarily in the brain, central nervous system, lungs, liver and kidneys. Like CB2, CB1 plays a key role in the endocannabinoid system, helping to regulate a broad range of bodily functions and activity.
