Chemovar

Definition: A classification for cannabis based on chemical composition: Type I (THC dominant), Type II (THC = CBD), Type III (CBD dominant), Type IV (CBG dominant with some CBD) and Type V (undetectable amounts of any cannabinoid). Not a complete measure because it omits entirely the importance clinically of other active compounds, including terpenes, that act on cannabinoids and modulate depending on environment.
