Definition: A chemical substance of identical molecules and atoms of two or more chemical elements. The cannabis plant produces more than 545 compounds including terpenes, flavonoids, proteins, phenols, esters and more than 100 cannabinoids, also called phytocannabinoids. Phytocannabinoids produce different effect on the plant and, when consumed, some known therapeutic activity in mammals.
