Definition: The US Food and Drug Administration is a federal agency under the Department of Health and Human Services, a US federal executive department. To date, the FDA has approved one cannabis-derived drug product: Epidiolex (cannabidiol) and three synthetic cannabis-related drug products: Marinol (dronabinol), Syndros (dronabinol), and Cesamet (nabilone) available with a prescription from a licensed healthcare provider under local jurisdiction.
