Glutamate

Definition: An excitatory neurotransmitter abundant in the brain important for neural communication, learning and memory formation. Scientists believe glutamate can increase the risk of seizures. If the brain contains an elevated level of glutamate, CBD may inhibit the release of extra glutamate and effectively regulate receptors that are associated with glutamate.
