Homeostatic processes

Definition: The process driving changes to our body to keep it in optimal condition by adjusting our internal systems in response to internal or external changes. In cannabis, the ECS is a regulator of other systems of the body, connected to each through cannabinoid receptors which relay messages to make changes when activated, ensuring our body maintains homeostasis. Also involves the endocrine, exocrine and nervous systems, which influence homeostasis via mostly negative feedback loops to the ECS to maintain a pre-set internal environment.
