Isolate

Definition: In cannabis, a purified extract that contains a single cannabinoid, often CBD. The extraction isolates a particular cannabinoid while removing all remaining compounds, making the extract 98%-100% pure. Popular to ensure the absence of THC, such as for drug testing, but potentially lacking in therapeutic effect compared to whole-plant or full-spectrum extracts due to the entourage effect.
