Nabilone

Definition: One of three synthetic cannabis-related drugs along with Marinol (dronabinol) and Syndros (dronabinol) with FDA approval. Originally developed by Eli Lilly with rights later acquired by Valeant Pharmaceuticals. A synthetic form of THC approved in 2006 to treat nausea and vomiting in cancer patients, and modest effectiveness in relieving fibromyalgia.
