Ogden Memo

Definition: A US Department of Justice memo issued in 2009 directing US Attorneys in the western US to not focus federal resources on individuals whose actions were in clear and unambiguous compliance with existing state laws providing for the medical use of marijuana. Did not apply to large, for-profit commercial operators.
