Principal component analysis
Definition: PCA or canonical root analysis. A multivariate statistical tool to identify trends in a multidimensional data set by simplifying and analyzing the inter relationship. In cannabis, chemovar analysis of cultivars in terms of THC and CBD ratios is insufficient to account for all the reported human health outcomes. PCA is a more accurate chemotaxonomic classification due to the inclusion of biologically active terpenoids.
