Epilepsy and Medicinal Marijuana: Quincy’s Story

From director Patrick Gavin: “During my recent visit to Iowa, I wanted to find other issues taking place in Iowa besides the caucuses. I read an op-ed in the Des Moines Register by Maria La France, whose son, Quincy, suffers epileptic seizures. Although she has tried countless drugs and treatments in an effort to help her son, she says that cannabis has proved most effective — and without the side effects. I paid her a visit to talk about Quincy and where Iowa stands with regards to marijuana legalization.”
