Treating COPD With Cannabis Oil

A Man Treating COPD With Cannabis Oil Goes Back to Work Full-Time

Back in April of 2014, Paul Fassa presented an article about how treating COPD with cannabis oil relieved most of his symptoms. Jeff Waters was diagnosed with stage III Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, or COPD, when he was 36. Here is an update from December 2014 about Paul’s progress.

Let’s first quickly review what COPD actually is. COPD describes different lung problems that aren’t cancerous but are very debilitating. If you see someone carting around oxygen tanks and have hosing going into their nostrils, chances are that person has some form of COPD. Medical experts note this is only the beginning and COPD symptoms will only get worse. To make matters worse, there is no cure in sight from the big pharmaceutical companies.

Yet all sorts of medications are prescribed to purportedly give some relief. However, the side effects are what put Jeff into the hospital under life support.

Jeff was on 15 prescription pharmaceuticals including COPD drugs, high blood pressure medications and drugs for depression, anxiety, aggression, high cholesterol, insomnia and pain. Acute upper respiratory disease is a general warning on some of these drugs.

After spending 28 days in the intensive care unit, going in-and-out of a coma from a reaction to one of those drugs, Jeff decided to find a better alternative to treating COPD symptoms he was experiencing.

Jeff Discovers Treating COPD With Cannabis Oil

Although Jeff resided in a non-medical marijuana state, he managed to obtain FECO, or full-extract cannabis oil. FECO is made with full-spectrum cannabis that includes THC and uses grain alcohol as the solvent. He managed to get up to a half gram twice daily.

Soon, he was able to walk several miles daily without needing an oxygen tank. Prior to using cannabis oil treatments, he was unable to even climb a flight of stairs on his own. In addition to his walking exercise, Jeff had also begun improving his diet.

As time went on, he stopped using his pharmaceuticals, oxygen tanks and oxygen concentrators. His weight went from 189 pounds on a slightly short frame to a more appropriate 142 pounds. His blood pressure also went back to normal without the use of blood pressure medication.

Until recently, Jeff had to limit his activities according to his oxygen tank’s logistics and be assured that his COPD meds were nearby. Many COPD sufferers report they have to take a break from any activity to rest, or use a nebulizer, or inhale some stored oxygen.

Jeff proudly states, “Now my inhalers and nebulizers collect dust in storage and I sold my oxygen concentrator and I walk every day and occasionally jog. I no longer set limits on what exercise or anything else I can do!”

As with most COPD cases, Jeff couldn’t work and was on disability. He wanted to get back into the workforce but had to be very selective. Many work places require drug tests and don’t understand marijuana’s medicinal properties, especially in a non-medical marijuana state. He’s proud to report that he’s working full time now, in a local grocery store.

A More Effective Cannabis COPD Treatment Technique

Many COPD and cancer sufferers often find taking cannabis oils difficult due to the “high” side effects. However, there is the “back door” treatment method of using cannabis suppositories or squirting a syringe of half cannabis oil and half coconut oil into the anus.

This method works even better for those who suffer from lung issues. There is no oral ingestion or vaping, also known as vaporizer inhalation, cannabis and psychotropic side effects are minimized. TCM, or traditional Chinese medicine, is aware of the large intestine’s energetic lung connection, and ozone therapy uses rectal absorption for lung issues.
