Dr. Sisley completed her medical degree at the University of Arizona College of Medicine and her five-year Residency Training at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in the fields of Internal Medicine and Psychiatry. Dr. Sisley has received many honors including the Presidentโs Point of Light Award and the Leo B. Hart Humanitarian Award for โoutstanding contributions made for social reformโ by the University of Arizona College of Medicine. She was also honored with the Dr. Clarence Salisbury Medal from the Maricopa County Medical Society for โher overwhelming commitment to health education, abiding interest in using the arts to promote healthy lifestyles among youths and her resolve to providing indigent health care services in our inner-citiesโ. Dr. Sisley was also given The Arizona Medical Associationโs highest honor, The Presidentโs Distinguished Service Award and Arizonaโs most prestigious recognition for volunteerism, the Hon Kachina Award.
Dr. Sisley first became interested in cannabis as an alternative medicine therapy for PTSD as VA physician and psychiatrist. Many of her patients told her marijuana was helping them in ways that approved medications were not.
