ST. LOUIS, MO–(Marketwired – December 01, 2015) – Show-Me Cannabis released the first commercial in the state of Missouri advocating for medical marijuana reform. The video, entitled “Guilty,” is now available for online viewing on the crowdfunding website for nonprofits,, where the organization is also raising $100,000 in support of its public education efforts around medical cannabis policy in Missouri.

KAOH Media and Forever An Astronaut co-created and produced the thirty-second video featuring local actors on a set mimicking police mug shots. Each person in the video admits guilt for using cannabis to medicate various ailments and pains, such as epilepsy and chemotherapy.

“2016 is going to be pivotal year for medical marijuana laws in Missouri. We feel this video really grabs viewer attention, provokes thought, and encourages education about the issue,” stated John Payne, Executive Director of Show-Me Cannabis.

Show-Me Cannabis supports reform of all aspects of cannabis law, but it has made medical cannabis its top priority for the next year. It will educate Missourians and advocate for a robust medical cannabis system that protects patients and creates a system of medical cannabis production and distribution in the state.

About Show Me Cannabis

Show-Me Cannabis is an association of organizations and individuals who believe that cannabis prohibition is a failed policy, and regulating cannabis would better control the production, distribution, and consumption of cannabis than the current criminal market system does. It seeks to engage Missourians in a serious, public discussion about the issues associated with the medical cannabis, industrial hemp, public safety and financial analysis in order to address problems associated with the current, failed policy.
