Federal agents with guns drawn raided medical marijuana operations across Montana on Monday, March 14th.
The U.S. Attorney for Montana says recent raids by
federal and local authorities on medical pot businesses does not mean
the Obama administration has abandoned its policy of leaving legitimate
medical marijuana patients and providers alone.
The Montana Standard reports that Mike Cotter made the comments last Friday
in Butte to a gathering of 60 lawyers at a meeting of the Montana bar.

Warrants unsealed that Tuesday named seven medical pot businesses as targets
of an 18-month investigation into large-scale trafficking and tax evasion.
Marijuana is an illegal substance, though the Obama administration has
said it would not prosecute medical marijuana users who comply with
state law.
But there is concern that Montana’s voter-approved medical marijuana law
is being abused.
