CBD is not the same thing as cannabis, marijuana or hemp. CBD is a single compound in the cannabis plant, from the Cannabaceae family of plants. Cannabis produces many naturally occurring compounds, including CBD.

When we consume activated cannabinoids, we can experience the therapeutic benefits of the cannabis plant.  Both CBD and THC cannabinoids, as well as the other cannabinoids found within cannabis, assist the body’s Endocannabinoid System (ECS) and can contribute to greater health. These cannabinoids can be leveraged separately, or together, helping individuals improve their wellness.

Intended Audience:

This course is for the CBD curious consumer, patients, cannabis consultants, medical professionals, budtenders and cannabis industry professionals.

Purpose:

This course has been designed to walk you through the fundamentals of CBD and by using the science and research of how this natural medicine can possibly improve your health and wellness.

Desired Tone:

A conversational approach to articulate the science of the plant, but also professional. While the course encourages for the perpetuation of cannabis research, accuracy and upto-date, the content should also remain free from bias.

Thank you Chris for giving me the chance to complete the advanced CBD course. It was more than thorough and very clinical in nature siting evidence based data which is critical. The only critic I would say is to differentiate CBD specifically in course from “medical marijuana” and THC as to the lay person or inexperienced clinician it may be overwhelming information, and confusing. CBD vs THC…keep them distinct. With much gratitude-Lisa
