Does your state have legal cannabis? No. Marijuana is a Schedule I controlled substance under Idaho Law. It is illegal for any person to manufacture, deliver, possess with intent to manufacture or deliver, or possess marijuana, which refers to all parts of the plants of the genus cannabis, including or any preparation of cannabis which contains tetrahydrocannabinol. It is illegal to publically use or be under the influence of marijuana. Specific penalties for these acts can be found in Sections 37-2732 and 37-2732C of the Uniform Controlled Substances Act.
Idaho remains one of the few states that has not adopted any kind of meaningful cannabis policy reform in recent years. A group of advocates with Kind Idaho are looking to change that. After an unsuccessful effort to collect enough signatures for a medical cannabis ballot initiative in 2022, the coalition of patients and allies is trying again with a new 2024 measure.
Even with the passing of the Farm Bill in 2018, in Idaho CBD must both contain zero THC and be derived from one of the five identified parts of the cannabis plant, otherwise it is illegal in Idaho under current law.
There are initiatives underway to change the law in Idaho and at Medical Marijuana 411 we believe in the right to education. So we suggest starting your cannabis education certification with our Advanced CBD Certification or even check out our courses on FDA Approved Cannabinoid Medications.
It is important to remember that MM411, Inc is not advocating to break the law but believes that laws wil change in Idaho and want to give those interested in the science behind the plant, the opportunity to learn more.
