Dr. Christina Sanchez Discovers Anti Cancer Properties In THC

Vimeo Description Dr. Christina Sanchez Discovers Anti Cancer Properties THC:

Dr. Christina Sanchez is a molecular biologist at Compultense University in Madrid Spain, her research led to the findings that THC does indeed kill cancer cells! She sat down with us to explain her work:

Dr. Sanchez is one of the pioneering scientist who discovered how THC (the primary psychoactive cannabinoid found in the marijuana plant) systematically wipes out cancer cells.

Dr. Sanchez’s research in conjunction with other’s work, like British scientist, Wai Liu, an oncologist at the University of London’s St. George’s medical school are proving that cancer has some new treatment possibilities, thanks to marijuana. Dr. Liu’s research points out how THC maintains some rather potent anti-cancer agents, which can significantly ‘target and switch off’ pathways that allow cancers to grow.

Cannabinoids are a reference to any group of linked compounds

Which include cannabinol (CBD), and the other active constituents of marijuana. The plants compounds activate the human cannabinoid receptors found in the body. As humans, we produces compounds called endocannabinoids, and these endocannabinoids are a major player in many beneficial processes within the body, that ultimately enhances human health.

Study after study has shown cannabinoids have the ability to reduce cancer cells, as they have a rejuvenative effect on the rebuilding of the immune system. While not all strains are created equal – some possess more CBD or THC – patients around the globe are witnessing success in their cancer reduction – all thanks to marijuana’s cannabinoids.

Unfortunately for most, smoking pot only provides a slight benefit in the treatment of some disease, as the required medicinal level of cannabinoids are hard to obtain through smoking alone. Creating cannabinoid rich tinctures, or just straight eating the raw plant material is generally the best way to go about ingesting the necessary cannabinoids for medicinal purposes.

According to the research coming out of Spain; “The cannabinoids are found to have particular application as neuroprotectants, for example in limiting neurological damage following ischemic insults, such as stroke or trauma, or the treatment of neurological diseases, such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and HIV dementia.”

These discoveries are pushing states to recognize medical marijuana and legalize it. While the federal government is receiving pressure to de-list marijuana as an illegal drug with no therapeutic use – a laughable assertion coming from the Feds who hold numerous patents on the plant. Regardless of the hypocrisy, the DEA, the DOJ, and the FDA are still fighting the notion that marijuana is medicine, again despite having numerous patents on the plant.

Patent No. 6,630,507

Held by The United States of America as represented by the Department of Health and Human Services, has a patent for cannabinoids as antioxidants and neuroprotectants … No doubt a future cash cow for the feds. Does anyone doubt that this could have a little something to do with their lethargy over declassifying such a valuable plant?

Thankfully, the world has progressed over the last 20 years with regards to accepting this miracle plant as a medicine, rather than as a “Gateway Drug.”
