Josh Howard ACC Patient Story

The reason I started using medical marijuana was due to pain, insomnia and an addiction to painkillers. I had s surgery for a metal rod placed in my arm and so due to the pain from having metal rods, pins and screws stuck in my arm I became hooked on Vicodin. Prescription drugs. My doctors were willing to just give me all I wanted. I kind of realized that I was to the point the medicine was not working any more. I was hooked on it and I was no longer getting well. I was just medicating myself. Making myself more unhealthy. My stomach was deteriorating, my liver, I was in pain still, the medication didn’t work any more. They were willing to give me more pain medication. But I took it upon myself to wean myself from pain medication using medical marijuana.
